Tamariu is one of the three little resort towns loosely attached to Palafrugell and administratively part of it. Like Llafranc it manages to stay alive in the winter (just), but does not have the same high quality hotels or the small port. It is however a big favourite with the British and they are a major factor in the local economy throughout the year. It is a bit more intimate than Llafranc perhaps because it is a bit less accessible. The beach is fine and clean, and there are numerous fun eating places along the beach.
Property in the immediate hinterland is fairly plentiful, but as with everything in this area, is fairly expensive. There is the occasional renovation deal if you are that way inclined. |
