Pensions in Spain

You can make arrangements to have state or private pensions to be paid directly into a bank account in Spain or you can continue to have them paid into a UK account. You do need to be aware that you are not entitled to any of the means tested benefits that you might get in the UK. If therefore you experience a total financial disaster, you are not entitled to any extra help from either the Spanish or the British. You need to return to the UK. If your finances are a little precarious, this is an important point.
